Product Description
STEINEL L 260 S is an outdoor sensor wall light with a stainless steel base and opal-glass diffuser. The slim, 42.6 cm tall fitting suits entrances, façades, terraces and courtyards. Its integrated motion sensor switches the light on when movement is detected below the selected ambient-light threshold.
Warm-white light and a replaceable E27 LED lamp
The complete fitting delivers 703 lm of 3000 K warm-white light with an operating power of 9.87 W. A 9.2 W E27 LED linear lamp is included. The manual's 927 lm figure applies to the lamp itself; 703 lm is the output of the complete fitting with its diffuser. Opal glass spreads the light evenly.
The light source is user-replaceable. Choose a compatible 270 mm E27 LED linear lamp for this model; a standard-shaped E27 bulb is not necessarily suitable simply because its base fits. The supplied light source has energy efficiency class F and an energy-label consumption of 10 kWh/1000 h. CRI/Ra 82 describes colour rendering, while SDCM3 indicates small variations in white-light colour between light sources.
240° motion detection tailored to the entrance
The 240° PIR sensor detects heat emitted by moving people and animals. The manufacturer specifies a reach of up to 12 m across the detection zone and up to 6 m when approaching directly. The recommended mounting height is 2 m. The sensor does not detect through walls or glass, and its line of sight must remain clear.
The supplied shrouds allow unwanted areas, such as a road beyond a fence, to be excluded. The sensor housing can turn through ±80°. Detection beneath the sensor helps cover the area close to the fitting.
Adjustment without an app
Control dials set the stay-on time from 5 seconds to 15 minutes and the twilight threshold from 2 to 2000 lx. Lower lux settings require darker surroundings before activation. Soft light start and fade-out gradually change brightness. An optional wall switch in the supply line enables 4-hour manual override, after which sensor mode resumes. This model has no basic light level function or Bluetooth control.
Construction and installation
IP44 provides protection against splashing water, and IK03 describes impact resistance. Mount the fitting on a wall and connect it to a fixed mains supply. Protection class I requires a protective-earth connection. Dimensions: 177 × 102 × 426 mm (depth × width × height); net weight 1.736 kg. The manufacturer provides a 3-year warranty under its terms.
