Collection from our store
Orders may be collected free of charge from the i-Light.lv store at Brīvības gatve 195, Riga, LV-1039, Latvia.
The store is open on working days from 10:00 to 18:00. Please wait for confirmation that your order is ready before visiting the store.
Order processing
Orders may be placed online at any time. We normally process an order on the same or the next working day. The actual preparation and delivery time depends on product availability, destination and the selected carrier.
We recommend inspecting the external condition of the parcel upon delivery. If visible damage is found, photograph it, note it in the delivery documents and contact us as soon as possible. Failure to do so does not remove any statutory consumer rights.
Statutory rights and commercial warranties
Important: a Consumer’s statutory rights in relation to non-conforming products are not the same as a voluntary commercial warranty offered by a manufacturer or seller.
Consumer rights
A Consumer is a natural person purchasing a product for a purpose unrelated to their business or professional activity.
The Seller is responsible for a lack of conformity existing at the time of delivery and discovered within two years from delivery. A claim concerning non-conformity must be submitted within two months after the non-conformity is discovered.
In the event of non-conformity, the Consumer may first require the Seller to repair the product or replace it free of charge, unless the selected remedy is impossible or disproportionate. The rights to a price reduction or termination of the contract apply in the circumstances provided by law.
The Seller arranges and pays for the transport of a non-conforming product for inspection, repair, replacement or return. Before sending a product, please contact us to agree on the appropriate transport method.
Commercial warranties
Certain products may be covered by an additional commercial warranty provided by the manufacturer or the Seller, for example for three, four or five years. The applicable period and conditions are stated in the product description or warranty document, or are provided at the Buyer’s request.
A commercial warranty does not restrict or replace the Consumer’s statutory rights.
Business customers and legal entities
The provisions of Latvian consumer protection law intended specifically for Consumers do not automatically apply to legal entities or business purchases. Their rights are determined by the purchase agreement, invoice terms, the commercial warranty applicable to the particular product or a separate written agreement with the Seller.
Damage caused during use
A claim may not be justified if an inspection establishes that the damage was caused by:
- incorrect installation, connection or unsuitable voltage;
- failure to follow the product instructions;
- mechanical damage, impact or dropping the product;
- moisture or liquid where the product’s IP rating does not provide protection against such exposure;
- unauthorised repair, modification or opening of the product;
- external circumstances unrelated to a lack of conformity existing at the time of delivery.
Each case is assessed individually, including the cause of the damage and its connection with the reported non-conformity. These circumstances do not, by themselves, remove any other statutory consumer rights.
Submitting a claim
To identify the purchase, please provide the order or invoice number and, where possible, attach a receipt, invoice, bank payment order or other proof of the transaction.
Before sending a product, contact us at veikals@i-light.lv, by telephone at +371 22 33 1877, or use the Contact us page.
