This T5 LED light with a built-in switch is a practical choice for local lighting around furniture and work surfaces. The long form of Optonica 5597 suits positions beneath a shelf or cabinet where light is needed over a particular area. Its approximate 1.2 m length helps you plan illumination along a wider surface.
The fitting delivers 1200 lm from 13 W. Its 6000 K cool white light suits a workspace where a distinctly cool tone is preferred. If it will be used together with the room’s main lighting, consider the colour temperature of both sources so that the combination creates the effect you want.
An on/off switch on the fitting lets you control the local light where you are working. Choose a mounting position that keeps the switch within easy reach, including after shelves have been filled or equipment placed on the worktop. This arrangement is convenient when the light is used separately from the rest of the room.
The 120° beam angle spreads light broadly beneath the fitting. The supplied accessories include two mounting clips and a 15 cm connection cable. Take that short cable length into account when planning the electrical connection. Check the space available for the complete body and route the cable so that it does not interfere with normal use of the surface.
