Product Description
Lucide OVALIS is a metal wall light with an oval, curved front shade. Light escapes upwards and downwards to create an hourglass-like effect on the wall. It suits smooth walls and more textured finishes in a hallway, bedroom or living room. The front shade screens a direct frontal view of the bulbs; the selected sources determine the intensity of the lighting effect. The body is made of metal. This version is white. The surface has a brushed finish. The finish is electroplated.
The fitting provides 2 sockets for E14 bulbs. Bulbs are not included. The maximum source rating is 2 × 9 W. Actual consumption depends on the installed bulbs; the maximum socket rating is not a fixed consumption of the fitting. The manufacturer’s recommended bulb model is 49022/04/60, sold separately. Select a bulb shape and size that fit within the shade. Lumen output, CRI, beam angle and colour temperature in kelvins depend on the bulb selected; these are not fixed values for the fitting without bulbs.
Select bulb colour temperature to suit the setting: warmer white suits relaxation, while a more neutral white supports everyday tasks. Dimming requires dimmable bulbs and a compatible external dimmer. The dimmer is not included. A standard wall switch provides on/off control. The body is fixed and its height is not adjustable. Light is directed upwards and downwards, so plan the position around the wall and surrounding surfaces to be illuminated.
Overall dimensions are 16 × 8 × 20 cm. The net weight is 0.8 kg. These dimensions and weight describe the fitting itself. They help assess wall projection, available space and the suitability of the fixing for the wall construction.
The wall mounting plate measures 8 × 3 × 8 cm. The plate material is metal. The shade measures 16 × 6 × 20 cm. Before installation, compare the plate with the electrical outlet and existing holes; the body’s outside dimensions alone do not confirm coverage of the connection point.
Lifetime, switching-cycle rating and energy efficiency class depend on the selected bulbs. Replaceable sources let you change the lighting colour and intensity later while retaining the fitting.
The fitting is designed for fixed connection to a 220–240 V ~ 50 Hz mains supply; its nominal voltage is 230 V. IP20 denotes dry indoor use without protection against water. Electrical protection class I requires protective earthing. No power cable is attached. Make the connection at the mounting position according to the manufacturer’s diagram. There is no automatic motion sensor; use the room switch or a compatible dimmer to control the light.
