Product Description
Lucide Essential RINUS is a slim round surface-mounted light with an opal light-diffusing face and a taupe rim. Its matt ABS body and low 3.2 cm profile suit a bathroom or another indoor area where an unobtrusive fitting close to the ceiling is wanted. The manufacturer’s installation drawing allows mounting on either the ceiling or a wall.
The fitting includes one integrated LED source rated at 24 W, with a stated luminous flux of 2400 lm. The opal diffuser softens the appearance of the light, while the 120° beam angle provides broad coverage. CRI 80 describes colour rendering for everyday use. The required number of fittings depends on room size, surface colours and the arrangement of other light sources; a mirror area may benefit from separate local lighting.
A DIP switch in the mounting area selects 2200 K, 2700 K or 3000 K before final installation. The extra-warm option suits mood lighting, while warm white is more versatile for everyday use. CCT selection is separate from brightness dimming: this fitting is not dimmable. It is switched on and off with a separate wall switch, which is not included. There is no motion sensor or automatic ambient-light sensor.
Overall dimensions are Ø40 × 3.2 cm, with a net weight of 1.3 kg. The manufacturer lists the ABS light-diffusing section as Ø40 × 2.8 cm and the outer base in its table as Ø40 × 0.5 cm; this is not the size of the smaller internal fixing disc or the drilling centres. The fixed construction does not swivel or adjust in height. Its shallow projection preserves space below the ceiling, and the mounting arrangement must be suitable for the surface.
IP44 protects against splashing water and allows use in a suitable bathroom location. It is not intended for immersion or direct water jets; choose the location according to the manufacturer’s installation instructions and the conditions in the room. Electrical class II denotes double or reinforced insulation. The fitting connects permanently to a 220–240 V, 50 Hz mains supply and has no separate cable with plug. Disconnect power before installation or changing the CCT selection.
The LED source, driver and installation materials are included; no separate bulb is required. The source has an expected lifetime of 25,000 h, 15,000 switching cycles and energy efficiency class F. The fitting has a 3-year warranty.
