Product Description
Lucide TADZIO is an outdoor wall light with a square aluminium body in rust brown. Its compact silhouette suits an entrance, facade or terrace wall, while the warm finish complements wood, brick and other naturally coloured surfaces. Light is directed upwards and downwards, highlighting the wall on both sides of the fitting.
Advantages
- Up-and-down light: illuminates the facade on both sides of the fitting.
- Built-in motion sensor: light can switch on when a person enters the detection area.
- Construction suited to outdoor use: IP65 protection covers dust ingress and water jets.
Light and control
The included integrated LED source has a power rating of 7 W and a manufacturer-stated luminous flux of 295 lm. This helps assess the amount of light available for highlighting the nearby wall and access area. CRI 80 describes colour rendering for everyday outdoor lighting, helping reveal the tones of the facade, paving and plants. The specified 80° beam angle produces a defined light pattern; its size on the wall depends on the installation position.
A DIP switch in the mounting base selects a colour temperature of 2700 K, 3300 K or 4000 K. The 2700 K setting creates warm white evening light, 3300 K provides an intermediate tone, and 4000 K gives neutral white illumination. The setting can be matched to the other facade lights and the building finishes. CCT selection changes the light colour; the fitting’s brightness cannot be adjusted with an external dimmer.
The built-in motion sensor allows the access area to be illuminated when movement is detected. The specified detection angle is 120°. Its settings adjust the light duration and response to the ambient light level. When positioning the fitting, consider the direction in which people approach and nearby obstructions so the sensor covers the intended area.
Installation and safety
The overall fitting dimensions are 10.2 × 10 × 15.1 cm, and its net weight is 0.65 kg. The wall mounting plate measures 2 × 10 × 15.1 cm. These dimensions help check that the chosen position has sufficient space for the body and mounting base. Fix the fitting to the wall and connect it to the permanent electrical installation according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
IP65 provides protection against dust ingress and water jets, which matters for a fitting mounted outdoors on a facade. The housing seals and cable entry must remain watertight during installation. The fitting is intended for a 220–240 V, 50 Hz mains supply; electrical protection class I requires a protective earth connection.
The manufacturer specifies an expected LED lifetime of 25,000 hours, and the light source has energy efficiency class G. The stated lifetime describes the expected operating life of the light source and is not a warranty period. The LED light source is included, so no separate bulb is required. The manufacturer specifies a 3-year warranty for the fitting.
Applications
TADZIO suits placement beside an entrance, in an access area or on a terrace wall. Choose its position for both the desired light pattern on the facade and a clear sensor view.
Tip
After installation, test the sensor along the intended approach route and adjust operating time and the ambient-light threshold. Use the same CCT setting across facade fittings when a coordinated light colour is desired.
