Product Description
STEINEL IS 2360 ECO is a compact surface-mounted ceiling detector for automatic lighting control. Its round white housing suits corridors, stairwells, storage rooms and covered entrance ceilings. IP54 protection and UV-resistant plastic support use indoors and outdoors.
All-round detection from the ceiling
The 360° passive infrared sensor responds to heat radiation from moving people. Tangential movement is detected across an area up to 7 m in diameter, making a central position in a small room or circulation area practical. Look-down protection covers movement beneath the detector, and the supplied shrouds help exclude unwanted sections.
Lighting when it is needed
Two controls let you match operation to the space: choose how long the light remains on after the last movement and how dark the surroundings must be before motion switches it on. PIR detection requires a clear view because walls and glass block the heat radiation. Installation at approximately 2.8 m helps achieve the intended coverage.
Coverage from several positions
Intelligent L′ detection allows up to five sensors to be connected in parallel, so a corridor can respond to people arriving from different directions. The detector switches the supply to connected luminaires. Permissible LED loading depends on individual lamp power and driver characteristics. Concealed and surface cable routes are supported.
Controls and masking shrouds provide local adjustment of lighting behaviour and coverage. The low-profile housing is useful where a recessed sensor opening is not planned.
