Product Description
The STEINEL XLED home 2 SC is an outdoor LED floodlight with a motion sensor and Bluetooth control for courtyards, driveways, patios and entrances. Its integrated 13.8 W LED module delivers 1550 lm of warm white light at 3000 K. Housing colour: black; manufacturer article number: 065447.
Adjustable lighting around the home
- The LED panel swivels through 180° horizontally and 180° vertically to direct light towards an entrance, driveway or patio.
- Warm white 3000 K light and an opal diffuser provide even light distribution. CRI 82 describes colour rendering, while SDCM 3 indicates consistency of the LED light colour.
- The HCMC magnesium composite helps dissipate heat from the LED module. IK03 is the housing's mechanical impact-resistance rating.

How the motion sensor works
The 180° passive infrared sensor (PIR) detects movement at up to 10 m when crossing the detection zone and up to 5 m on direct approach. The manufacturer's corresponding areas of 157 m² and 39 m² describe sensor coverage, not the illuminated ground area. Positioning the sensor so that people cross its zone helps achieve better detection.
The sensor swivels through 180° horizontally and 90° vertically, independently of the light panel. Supplied masking stickers help exclude unwanted detection sectors, such as pedestrians passing beyond the property.
Bluetooth control and lighting groups
Use the STEINEL Connect app on a Bluetooth-enabled smartphone or tablet to set the light-on time from 5 seconds to 60 minutes and the twilight threshold from 2 to 1000 lx. Teach-in saves the current ambient-light level as the switching threshold. Each detected movement restarts the timer.
- Bluetooth Mesh groups. Compatible STEINEL Connect lights can be grouped and configured together. In master/master mode, several sensors can trigger the group; in master/slave mode, grouped lights follow the selected sensor.
- The neighbouring-group function coordinates compatible lighting groups. Manual on/off control and group override are available in the app.
- Night mode and a time schedule adapt operation to daily needs. Continuous lighting can be activated for specified times.
After a power interruption, reconnect the fitting to the STEINEL Connect app to synchronise its internal clock and restore correct operation of timed functions. Bluetooth linking requires compatible devices; the XLED home 2 S and standard sensor-free version do not themselves join a Bluetooth network.
There is no basic-light or soft-start mode, and the light is not dimmable. Bluetooth settings on this model control sensor, group and time functions.
Installation and supplied components
The floodlight is designed for mounting on an outside wall and a 220–240 V, 50–60 Hz mains supply. The optimum sensor mounting height is 2 m, with a maximum of 4 m. IP44 provides protection against splashing water and solid objects of 1 mm or larger; electrical protection class II means double or reinforced insulation. The specified ambient temperature range is −20…+40°C.
The LED light source and control gear are built in and included — no separate bulb is required. A wall mount and installation materials are supplied, together with sensor masking stickers. For mounting on an outside corner, matching bracket 055875 is available separately.
The STEINEL TapDuo C Bluetooth wireless pushbutton 088620 is available as an optional control accessory, purchased separately.
Service life, energy consumption and warranty
The manufacturer instructions state L70B50 >60,000 h at 25°C: under those conditions, at least half of the LEDs are expected to retain at least 70% of their initial light output at the stated lifetime. The lifetime rating is separate from the warranty period.
The integrated light source has energy class E and a label value of 14 kWh per 1000 operating hours. Actual consumption depends on operating duration and sensor standby time. The LED light source and control gear cannot be replaced. The manufacturer specifies a 5-year warranty subject to STEINEL warranty terms.
