Product Description
The STEINEL XLED home 2 XL S is an outdoor LED floodlight with a motion sensor for courtyards, driveways, patios and entrances. Its integrated 19.3 W LED module delivers 2124 lm of warm white light at 3000 K. The adjustable light panel directs the light where it is needed, while the sensor switches it on when movement is detected. Housing colour: anthracite; manufacturer article number: 030056.
Direct the light where it is needed
- Independently adjustable panel and sensor. The LED panel swivels through 180° horizontally and 180° vertically; the sensor adjusts through 180° horizontally and 90° vertically. This helps match both lighting and motion detection to the installation site.
- Warm white light with an opal diffuser. The 3000 K colour temperature suits residential outdoor areas, while the opal plastic cover diffuses the LED light.
- LED cooling. The HCMC cooling system uses a magnesium composite material to help dissipate heat from the LED module.

How the motion sensor works
The 180° passive infrared sensor (PIR) detects movement at up to 10 m when crossing the detection zone and up to 5 m when approaching the sensor directly. The corresponding detection areas specified by STEINEL are 157 m² and 39 m². These figures describe the sensor's coverage, not the illuminated area. Positioning the light so that people cross the detection zone helps achieve better detection.
Local controls set the ambient-light threshold from 2 to 1000 lx and the light-on time from 5 seconds to 35 minutes. A lower lux setting allows activation in darker surroundings. Supplied masking stickers let you exclude unwanted detection sectors. There is no Bluetooth or linked sensor control between lights; settings are adjusted directly on the floodlight.
Installation and supplied items
The floodlight is designed for outdoor wall mounting and a 220–240 V, 50–60 Hz mains supply. The optimum sensor mounting height is 2 m, with a maximum mounting height of 4 m. IP44 provides protection against splashing water and solid objects of 1 mm or larger; electrical protection class II uses double or reinforced insulation. The housing is made of plastic.
The LED light source is integrated and included, so no separate bulb is required. Mounting accessories and sensor masking stickers are supplied. For installation on a building corner, the matching STEINEL corner bracket 053086 is available separately and is not included.
Service life, energy efficiency and warranty
STEINEL specifies an LED service life of 50,000 hours at the maximum rated ambient temperature. This describes the LED's operating life, rather than the warranty period. The manufacturer specifies a 5-year warranty for this model, subject to STEINEL's warranty terms. The integrated LED light source and driver are not replaceable.
The integrated light source has energy efficiency class E, with an energy-label consumption of 20 kWh per 1000 operating hours. Total electricity use depends on how long the floodlight operates.
