Product Description
Lucide VARIO LED is a modern metal desk lamp with a matt, electroplated black finish. An elongated flat head, articulated stem and rectangular base give it a functional outline. Use it for reading and everyday desk work, adjusting the head to the work surface and avoiding direct reflections in a screen.
The integrated 8 W LED source is included. The manufacturer declares a flux range of 48–480 lm, a 100° beam angle and CRI 85 colour rendering. Light is directed towards the work area; illumination also depends on distance and head position. CRI helps indicate how naturally paper, objects and other surface colours will appear.
Touch controls on the lamp provide on/off switching and brightness adjustment. CCT selection across 2700–6500 K switches the light colour from warm white to cool white. Warm light suits a more relaxed evening, while a more neutral or cooler tone can be selected for work according to personal preference. CCT selection and dimming are separate functions; no external wall dimmer is needed. There is no motion sensor.
The articulated construction provides several adjustments. The instructions show stem rotation at the base of 45° to either side, stem tilt through 90° and head-hinge movement through 120°. The head can also rotate around its long axis by 90° to either side. These are mechanical ranges at individual joints, not the optical beam angle; do not force the joints beyond their intended limits.
Changing the joint positions gives a height of 35–42 cm and longitudinal reach of 36–60 cm; the structure is not telescopic. The manufacturer’s maximum overall envelope is 13.5 × 60 × 42 cm. The head measures 36 × 4 × 2 cm, and the metal base measures 20 × 13.5 × 2 cm. Net weight is 1 kg. These proportions help plan its position on a relatively narrow work surface while allowing room for head movement.
The lamp is supplied from a 220–240 V, 50 Hz mains outlet through its intended adapter connection. The lead with plug is 150 cm long. It has a black PVC jacket. The lamp is included; use the adapter intended for this model. Placement requires a stable desktop and access to a socket. No battery operation or USB charging is specified.
The manufacturer declares an LED life of 40,000 h and light-source energy-efficiency class G. Service life describes expected LED operation, not the warranty term. The source is integrated, so no ordinary bulb needs to be purchased.
The lamp is intended for dry indoor use. IP20 protects against access to hazardous parts and larger solid objects, but provides no water protection. Electrical protection class II indicates double or reinforced insulation. The fixture has a 3-year warranty.
