Product Description
STEINEL RS PRO P1 flat S is a white indoor LED sensor ceiling light for corridors, stairwells and indoor circulation areas. Its integrated LED delivers 942 lm at 9.4 W, with a fixed 3000 K warm-white light colour. Article 069681; EAN 4007841069681.
HF sensor and automatic lighting
The concealed 5.8 GHz high-frequency sensor detects motion around the luminaire. The adjustable Ø1–8 m range is the diameter of the detection zone, approximately 4 m from centre to edge at its maximum setting. HF sensing can work through glass, doors and thin partitions, so set sensitivity for the actual room. Two included slot-in shrouds restrict unwanted detection directions.
- 2–2000 lx: adjustable ambient-light threshold for motion-triggered operation.
- 5 s–15 min: switch-off delay restarts whenever movement is detected.
- 10% basic light: low-level orientation lighting for 10 minutes, 30 minutes or all night; it can also be disabled. Movement activates full output.
- 4 h continuous light: activate using an external mains switch as described in the manual; sensor mode resumes afterwards.
- Soft light start: gradual LED activation, with controls on the luminaire and no app needed.
Wired lighting groups
Compatible P1 luminaires can be connected by cable; the manufacturer states groups of up to 10 lights. The load-specific limits still apply: total LED load 16 W for individual LED lamps below 2 W, and 64 W for LED lamps above 2 W and below 8 W or above 8 W; maximum capacitance 88 µF. The stated group count does not override these electrical limits.
Other data-sheet switching limits: electronic fluorescent ballasts 400 W; uncorrected, series-corrected or parallel-corrected fluorescent lamps 400 VA; low-voltage halogen lamps 800 VA. A qualified electrician must use the manufacturer’s wiring diagram.
Light quality and service life
942 lm is the complete luminaire’s luminous flux; 100 lm/W is its efficacy. CRI / Ra 82 describes colour rendering. SDCM 3 indicates initial light-colour consistency. LED cooling uses the passive Passive Thermo Control system.
Manufacturer lifetime figures: IEC 62717 L70 — 100,000 h; L80 — 73,000 h; IES TM-21 L70 and L80 — more than 60,000 h. L70 and L80 indicate retention of 70% and 80% of initial light output. These figures are not warranty periods.
The built-in LS-0084 light source carries energy class E and a label value of 10 kWh/1000 h; EPREL reference 882479. The energy label applies to the light source. The LED is included and is not a user-replaceable bulb.
Installation and package contents
Surface mounting on a wall or ceiling. Dimensions Ø272 × 64 mm follow the current article-specific data sheet and drawing; the older flat dimensions in the shared installation manual differ. Maximum sensor mounting height is 4 m; allow at least 3 m from a Wi-Fi router or access point. The manual does not permit ceiling installation with a surface-mounted supply cable; plan a rear cable entry.
IP54 provides protection against harmful dust ingress and splashing water; bathroom placement must comply with applicable installation requirements. IK03 describes impact resistance. Class II means double insulation. Ambient operating range: −10…+40°C.
Included: one LED luminaire, three spacers and two detection shrouds. The LED and driver are built in; no separate bulb is needed. This P1 version is not a battery-backed emergency luminaire.
Maximum stated inrush current is 13 A. The data sheet gives the following luminaire counts per circuit breaker: B10 — 54, B16 — 87, C10 — 90, C16 — 145. These are supply-circuit figures, not sensor-controlled group sizes. Cable capacity, total load and the wiring diagram also apply.
