Product Description
STEINEL IS D360 is a compact recessed PIR ceiling detector for automatic lighting control in dry indoor areas. Its construction resembles a recessed spotlight module: a white surround and sensor lens remain visible while the connection section sits above the ceiling. This suits corridors, waiting areas and office circulation spaces.
Wide circular coverage
The 360° sensor divides the surrounding space into many detection zones and responds to changes in heat caused by movement. Tangential movement can be detected across a field 16 m in diameter, equivalent to a distance of up to 8 m from the detector. Supplied shrouds restrict individual segments, while look-down protection covers movement immediately below the lens.
A separate contact for the connected load
A potential-free S1/S2 relay contact allows the controlled circuit to be wired according to the installation design. The contact supports the manual's specified 50–240 V AC range, while the detector itself needs a mains supply. Permissible loads differ for LED, incandescent and other lamp types.
Automatic operation with a manual option
Time and twilight controls let you match the detector to the room's light levels and use. If a wall switch is installed in the supply lead, a switching sequence can activate a four-hour lighting override. The detector then returns automatically to motion-controlled operation.
The IS D360 construction supports suitable standard recessed spotlight surrounds; other frames shown in photographs illustrate this compatibility. Choose a location where the lens has a clear view of the room. Article 601317 is the white IS D360 version with IP20 protection.
