Product Description
Lucide MENGA is a ceiling-mounted light with a wide, gently curved smoke-grey glass shade. Its painted satin-matt glass and black metal details form a calm, graphic silhouette for a contemporary interior. Its compact height makes this form practical where a long suspension would take up too much space, for example in a hallway, bedroom or living area. This model belongs to the Lucide Premium collection.
A lens in the centre of the shade produces a more defined pool of downward light, while softer, diffused light spreads upwards. The combination highlights the surface below and brightens the area around the shade. The light direction is not mechanically adjustable, so positioning determines the illuminated area. The manufacturer specifies a source beam angle of 120°; the lens, glass and installation height also influence the light pattern seen in the room.
The fitting contains 1 integrated LED light source rated at 11 W, with a manufacturer-stated source luminous flux of 360 lm. Watts describe electrical power, while lumens help assess the amount of light emitted. This fitting can provide ambient and local illumination; the need for additional lighting depends on room size, surface colours and the task. The LED is included, so there is no separate bulb to buy or bulb socket to select.
The fixed colour temperature of 2700 K provides warm white light suited to a relaxed evening atmosphere. CRI 94 indicates high colour rendering and helps wood, fabrics and other interior materials retain a more accurate appearance. The colour temperature is not adjustable. The manufacturer declares an LED service life of 30 000 h, a switching endurance of 18 000 cycles and light-source energy-efficiency class G. The service-life figure describes expected source operation and is not the warranty period.
The light is dimmable with a compatible external dimmer, which is not included. This allows the brightness to be reduced for relaxation or increased when more light is wanted. Select a dimmer compatible with the integrated LED driver and its load. A wall switch provides ordinary on/off control. Brightness adjustment does not change the light colour on this model. There is no sensor.
The overall dimensions are 40 × 40 × 16 cm, with a shade diameter of Ø 40 cm. The height is fixed. The round black metal ceiling plate measures Ø 15 × 4 cm, and the connector below the plate is 5 cm long and 1.6 cm in diameter. These components are already included in the overall height. Net weight is 3 kg, so the ceiling substrate and fixings must securely support the glass fitting. This version has no external suspension cable.
The fitting is intended for dry indoor use; IP20 does not provide protection against water. It is intended for a nominal 230 V supply, with the manual specifying 220–240 V, 50 Hz. The LED driver and installation materials are included. The manufacturer specifies electrical protection class I, which requires protective earthing; a qualified installer should connect it according to the fitting's markings. The warranty period is 5 years.
