Product Description

STEINEL PD-8 ECO COM1 is a professional in-ceiling PIR presence/motion detector for demand-controlled lighting in offices, meeting rooms, classrooms, corridors and ancillary areas. It provides full 360° coverage with fine presence detection (Ø6 m) and wide motion reach (up to Ø8 m tangential / Ø4.5 m radial). TEACH mode learns the real twilight level (2–1000 lx) and the time delay is adjustable from 5 s to 60 min. Commissioning is fast with on-body potentiometers or via Smart Remote / RC5 / RC8. The robust COM1 relay switches up to 2000 W resistive (typ. 500 W LED >8 W, 176 µF). Rated IP20, −20…+50 °C.

Installation: flush-mount ceiling design with spring clips; recommended height ~2.8 m (max 4.0 m). Cut-out Ø67 mm, installation depth 69 mm, visible bezel Ø109 mm. Master/master parallel connection up to 10 sensors enables larger rooms and long corridors.

Use cases: open-plan & cellular offices, meeting/training rooms, corridors, WC/service zones — wherever reliable presence-based, energy-saving control is required.
