Product Description
STEINEL NightMatic 2000 is a white twilight switch / photoelectric lighting controller that turns connected lights on as darkness falls and off again at dawn. Use it to control façade, entrance, courtyard, garden or shop-window lighting. It responds to ambient brightness rather than movement.
A straightforward choice when lighting should remain on throughout the dark hours. There is no need to operate a switch every evening, and the lights turn off automatically as daylight returns.
Practical features
- Adjustable 2–30 lx threshold: use the potentiometer to choose how dark it must be before lighting switches on. A lower setting activates the lights later, in darker conditions.
- IP54 and UV-resistant plastic: the housing is suitable for outdoor installation and protected against splashing water.
- 230–240 V / 50 Hz: wired connection to the mains and controlled lighting; no Bluetooth app or smart-home hub is required.
- Compact housing: 99 mm high, 74 mm wide and 37 mm deep. Surface-mounted on a wall; mounting accessories included.
Connected load: up to 1000 W resistive. For light sources with electronic ballasts, the manual specifies no more than 4 × 58 W and a total capacitance of up to 88 µF at 230 V. These conditions also apply to LED connections; the 1000 W rating must not be applied to LED lighting.
Install where the sensor can detect daylight without direct illumination from the light it controls. Operating temperature: −20 to +50 °C; own consumption: 0.8 W. 3-year manufacturer’s warranty, subject to STEINEL’s terms.
