Product Description
STEINEL NightMatic 3000 Vario is a white twilight switch / photoelectric lighting controller that turns connected lights on as darkness falls and off again at dawn. Use it to control façade, entrance, courtyard, garden or shop-window lighting. It responds to ambient brightness rather than movement.
The night economy mode lets you switch the lights off during the middle of the night. You can choose whether they come on again before dawn. This reduces lighting hours while retaining illumination in the evening and, when required, early morning.
Practical features
- 0.5–10 lx threshold with Teach-in: press the button at the desired dusk level to store the brightness at which the lights should switch on.
- IP54 and UV-resistant plastic: the housing is suitable for outdoor installation and protected against splashing water.
- 230–240 V / 50 Hz: wired connection to the mains and controlled lighting; no Bluetooth app or smart-home hub is required.
- Compact housing: 99 mm high, 74 mm wide and 37 mm deep. Surface-mounted on a wall; mounting accessories included.
Connected load: up to 1000 W resistive. The total LED load limit is 16 or 64 W depending on individual lamp power. Follow the power bands in the technical data sheet and the limit of no more than 4 LED or fluorescent lamps. The 1000 W rating is not an LED load rating.
How night mode works: the controller estimates its off period from ambient brightness and the duration of previous nights. It is not a clock timer with an exact programmable switching time.
Install where the sensor can detect daylight. NightMatic 3000 Vario can compensate for the light produced by the luminaire it controls. Operating temperature: −20 to +50 °C; own consumption: 0.8 W. 3-year manufacturer’s warranty, subject to STEINEL’s terms.
