Product Description
STEINEL RS 20 S is a round white LED light with a concealed motion sensor for hallways, stairs and utility rooms. Its opal PMMA cover diffuses the light, while the simple housing fits on either a wall or a ceiling. An integrated 9.4 W LED system delivers 942 lm of warm white 3000 K light, making it a practical choice for indoor routes where lighting should come on automatically when someone enters.
Automatic lighting with a concealed sensor
The built-in 360° high-frequency sensor can detect movement through glass and thin partitions. Sensitivity can be matched to the room: the detection zone has an adjustable diameter of approximately 1–8 m. Controls beneath the cover also set the ambient-light threshold and how long the light stays on. This is useful when reaching for a switch would be inconvenient, such as when carrying shopping or household items.
Basic lighting and coordinated switching
Soft start brings up the light gradually. Selecting 10% basic lighting maintains a low level for orientation, while movement activates full brightness. Basic light can be disabled or set to 10 minutes, 30 minutes or the entire dark period. A wired connection can link up to 10 lights for simultaneous switching. A separately installed mains switch also enables a four-hour manual override.
Indoor installation
With IP44 protection, this indoor fitting can also serve WC and washroom areas, subject to the requirements of the installation position. Ceiling installation requires a concealed power cable entering behind the fitting; a surface-run mains lead is not permitted for ceiling mounting. Article 079734 needs no app or separate bulb. Its integrated LED source and driver are not replaceable, and it must not be connected to an external dimmer.
