Product Description
STEINEL RS PRO R20 basic SC is a round LED fitting with concealed motion detection for corridors, stairwells and other indoor circulation areas. Its white housing and opal polycarbonate cover create an even luminous surface and a restrained appearance. The basic version provides adjustable main and basic lighting. It suits a coordinated row of fittings along a corridor or across stair landings, where automatic operation should follow people through the building.
Neutral white light in a 350 mm fitting
15.3 W power and 1976 lm luminous flux are combined with a fixed 4000 K colour temperature. The neutral white tone gives office passages and ancillary rooms a clear, practical atmosphere. A 350 mm diameter and 55 mm depth suit either wall or ceiling installation. The integrated LED source eliminates the need to choose a separate lamp.
Detection and brightness matched to the room
The 360° HF sensor detects movement over an area up to 10 m in diameter. Reach can be reduced electronically, and the supplied shrouds restrict selected directions. HF signals can detect movement through glass and lightweight partitions, so sensitivity should be matched to the installation. The STEINEL Connect app adjusts main and basic brightness, the ambient-light threshold and the 5-second to 30-minute stay-on time. For this 4000 K basic article, the basic-light period is 10–30 minutes, with all-day and all-night settings also listed.
Lighting groups that work together
Bluetooth Mesh links compatible fittings into groups without additional control wiring. The neighbouring-group function can bring light to the next area, while an adjustable 1–3-second fade smooths changes in brightness. The fitting can also operate on its own. Configuration requires a Bluetooth-enabled smartphone or tablet.
The IP40 and IK07 construction is intended for indoor use. An optional emergency module 064143 provides three-hour emergency lighting; it is purchased separately. Connection to a suitable central battery system is also possible. On DC power, the fitting operates at 100% output with motion detection deactivated. Its LED source and driver are not replaceable, and an external mains dimmer must not be used. The manufacturer's warranty is 5 years.
