Product Description
STEINEL RS 16 S Glass is a white indoor LED wall and ceiling light with an opal glass shade and a concealed motion sensor. It suits corridors, stairwells, utility rooms and washrooms. The integrated LED delivers 918 lm at 9.3 W, with a fixed 3000 K warm-white light colour for comfortable everyday illumination.
Automatic light with adjustable detection
The 360° HF sensor operates at 5.8 GHz. Detection diameter adjusts from Ø3 to Ø8 m, covering up to 50 m². Diameter must not be confused with radius. HF detection can work through glass, wood and lightweight partitions, so settings should prevent unwanted activation from neighbouring rooms.
The switch-off delay after the last movement adjusts from 5 seconds to 15 minutes, and the ambient-light threshold from 2 to 2000 lx. Potentiometers provide setup without a smartphone. The manufacturer recommends at least 3 m distance from Wi-Fi routers and access points.
Basic light and linked operation
Optional 10% basic light keeps the space from becoming completely dark after main light switches off. Choose 10 minutes, 30 minutes or all night, subject to the twilight setting. A 4-hour continuous-light mode is also available. Several lights can be interconnected by cable for simultaneous switching according to the manufacturer's circuit diagram.
Glass shade and integrated LED
The Ø273 × 96 mm fitting mounts on the wall or ceiling surface. IP44 denotes splash protection, IK03 its impact-resistance rating and class II its double insulation. Ra 82 describes colour rendering. The stated LED life is over 60,000 h at L70B50 and 25 °C; this lifetime criterion accounts for the reduction in light output over time.
One light with its LED system and mounting accessories is supplied. No separate bulb is required, but the LED is not user-replaceable. Do not connect an external dimmer. Sensor standby consumption is approximately 0.4 W, separate from full-light power consumption.
