Product Description
Lucide VERTIGO is a rechargeable wall light with a compact cube-shaped aluminium body. Its white matt powder-coated finish frames upward and downward light, creating an accent on the wall. The magnetic mounting system lets you remove the body for charging while leaving the plate in place. It suits a hallway, a position near stairs or a sheltered terrace area needing supplementary light without a permanent power cable to the fitting.
The fitting contains 1 integrated LED source rated at 6 W with a luminous flux of 350 lm; the instructions list a dimmable-source range of 35–350 lm. Light colour stays warm white at 2700 K. CRI 80 describes everyday colour rendering, while the source’s 99° beam helps create a broad accent. Upward and downward light adds atmosphere; assess lighting of a particular step or an entire stairwell against the actual mounting position.
Controls are on the underside. Hold the power button for 5 s to switch the fitting on or off; a short press changes between continuous-light and sensor modes. Hold the separate setting button to adjust brightness over 5–100% and tap it for standby. The previous brightness setting is retained in both operating modes. A blue indicator identifies continuous-light mode and orange identifies sensor mode; they extinguish after a short period.
The PIR motion sensor detects movement at up to 5 m over a 90° angle. In sensor mode, movement switches the light on for 30 s when ambient illumination is below 50 lx. Movement detected during this interval restarts the timer. Above 80 lx, the light and indicator turn off after 3 s. This supports automatic operation in darker conditions; the detection distance should not be read as an adjustable sensitivity setting.
Power is supplied by 2 non-replaceable lithium-ion cells in 18650 format, each rated at 2200 mAh and a nominal 3.7 V. The battery specification lists a weight of 45 g. The exact model’s instructions give an operating range of 4–24 h depending on use; the longest duration is not a promise of continuous operation at maximum brightness. Charging takes approximately 5 h.
Charging uses USB-C with a 5 V DC / 1 A input. A 100 cm white USB cable with a PVC sheath is included. The mains charging adapter is purchased separately; the instructions identify it as optional. The manufacturer’s optional adapter has a 100–240 V AC input at 50/60 Hz and IP20 protection, so choose a dry indoor location for charging. A flashing green indicator means charging; steady green means fully charged. Disconnect the cable after charging and close the protective port cover carefully. The lamp can operate while charging, with the charging location suitably protected.
At a battery charge of 20% or lower, the orange indicator flashes 5 times and brightness falls to 20%. At 10% or lower, it gives another 5-flash warning. At 2.5% or lower, the light switches off automatically; a button press then lights it for only 2 s. These warnings help you plan charging. Fully charge the battery before first use; if completely depleted, charge for at least 10 min before switching on. During prolonged storage, the manufacturer recommends charging every 3 months.
Body dimensions are 10 × 10 × 10 cm, the aluminium wall plate measures 9.6 × 9.6 × 0.4 cm, and net weight is 0.61 kg. The drawing gives a fixing-hole centre distance of 79.5 mm. First hang the body over the top of the plate, then let the magnets hold it in place; the supporting surface must not tilt by more than 15°. The head is fixed and installation height is determined by the plate position. Installation materials are included; use fixings appropriate for the wall material.
IP54 protects against harmful dust ingress and splashing water with the housing and charging port closed. The manufacturer allows indoor and outdoor use, but the instructions recommend an ambient range of 10–45 °C and avoiding direct sunshine; consider this for seasonal use. Electrical protection Class III applies to the low-voltage fitting. The battery has overload protection. Nominal LED lifetime is 30 000 h, which is separate from battery runtime between charges.
The LED, its control gear and batteries are included; no separate bulb is needed. The store’s stated warranty period is 3 years.
