STEINEL L 270 digi SC is an anthracite outdoor LED wall light with a motion detector and illuminated house-number panel. It suits entrances, facades, terraces and balconies. Its 7.8 W LED system delivers 637 lm of warm white light at 3000 K. Use the STEINEL Connect app to adjust settings and link compatible lights through Bluetooth Mesh. Article number: 067205.

180° digi sensor with three adjustable zones
The concealed infrared sensor detects movement up to 8 m across the detection area and up to 6 m when approaching directly. The manufacturer specifies detection areas of 101 m² and 57 m² respectively. These figures describe motion detection, not the illuminated area. Each of the three detection zones can be enabled or disabled, with reach adjusted in the app to avoid unwanted areas such as a nearby pavement. Detection beneath the sensor is included. Adjustment is electronic rather than mechanical.
The optimum mounting height is 2 m; the maximum is 2.5 m. A selectable slave mode allows the light to respond to commands from another compatible device.
Light settings and Bluetooth groups
- 5–100% main light: adjust brightness to the location.
- Soft light start: brightness rises and falls gradually.
- Weekly schedule: set switching times for individual days of the week.
- Bluetooth Mesh: link compatible lights into groups and control them in the app.
- Continuous light: switch the light on without a motion command.
- 5 s–60 min stay-on time: sets how long the main light remains on after motion.
- 2–2000 lx twilight threshold: lower settings allow activation only in darker conditions. Teach-in stores the current light level.
- 5–100% basic light: subdued orientation lighting that changes to the main-light level on movement. Basic-light duration: 10 s–60 min; off or brightness-controlled operation is also available.
Settings are made on a smartphone or tablet. Bluetooth provides control, not power: every luminaire needs its own 220–240 V mains connection.
Minimum brightness: the current STEINEL product page specifies 5–100%, while the linked operating instructions state 10–100%. If operation below 10% is essential, confirm the settings available on the particular unit before purchase.
Illuminated house number
The panel can be fitted to the left or right of the light to suit the entrance. Self-adhesive numbers are included. Overall width with the panel is 366 mm, helping visitors identify the entrance after dark.
Light and energy use
637 lm describes total luminaire output, 3000 K means warm white, and CRI / Ra 82 describes colour rendering. The integrated LS-0052 light source has energy class E, a label value of 8 kWh/1000 h and EPREL number 882552. The energy label applies to the light source; rated luminaire power is 7.8 W.
LED life rating: more than 60,000 h, L70B50 at 25°C. This is a statistical lumen-maintenance rating, not the warranty period. The power supply also has a manufacturer-specified average rated life of more than 60,000 h at 25°C.
Installation, materials and supplied items
Designed for surface mounting on an outdoor wall, the light combines an anthracite aluminium housing with an opal plastic diffuser. IP44 protects against solid objects of 1 mm or larger and splashing water. IK03 is the enclosure impact-resistance rating; electrical protection class II means double insulation. Operating temperature: −10…+40°C. Mains connection: 220–240 V, 50–60 Hz.
Supplied with one luminaire, integrated LED system, control gear and mounting accessories, plus the house-number panel and self-adhesive numbers. No separate bulb is required. The LED light source and control gear cannot be replaced. A remote control is not included. The manufacturer lists the TapDuo C wireless pushbutton, 088620 as a separately available accessory.
