Optonica 6235 is a 12 V DC, 60 W LED power supply for suitable low-voltage LED strips. It converts the mains AC input into the DC voltage required by the strip and can form part of a lighting installation for furniture, shelves or recesses. Select this version for a 12 V system and match the connected load to the power available.

Quick wire connections simplify the arrangement of the electrical connections, while the low black aluminium housing helps when planning space in a furniture service compartment or another mounting area. Its 27.3 mm body height is useful in shallow spaces. Allow additional room for cables, access to the connections and air circulation, rather than sizing the installation space around the housing alone.

Correct output voltage and sufficient capacity are both essential when selecting a power supply. For example, a 5 m length of 12 V LED strip rated at 4.8 W/m has a total nominal load of 24 W. This calculation helps assess the available capacity, but it does not establish the strip's maximum continuous run length or the positions at which power should be connected.

The IP20 construction is intended for dry indoor environments. Position the unit in a protected location rather than outdoors or where it is exposed to moisture. If the LED strip itself has a higher protection rating, that rating does not extend to the power supply or the connections between components.

The unit provides an output current of 5 A from a 198–242 V AC input. Any additional LED controller must suit the 12 V strip, the intended load and the complete wiring arrangement. This allows the supply to be selected as one part of a coordinated system, with the light source and its control chosen for the room.
