Product Description
A compact light cube for a welcoming entrance
STEINEL L 845 SC combines a cube-shaped design with automatic motion sensing. Its anthracite aluminium body frames an opal cover, creating a restrained lighting detail beside a front door, along a wall or near a terrace. The compact format suits entrances and repeated arrangements across a facade. For a coordinated outdoor design, pair the wall lighting visually with bollards from the GL 85 range.
The integrated LED system delivers 655 lm from 9 W in a 3000 K warm-white colour. This tone creates a welcoming atmosphere around residential entrances and outdoor seating. The opal cover forms an evenly illuminated surface, while soft start brings the light on gradually.
Concealed motion sensing and connected settings
The hidden 160° iHF sensor keeps the exterior clean and uncluttered. Its detection distance can be adjusted between 1 and 5 metres, allowing operation to be tailored to the approach area. STEINEL specifies an optimum mounting height of 2 m and a maximum of 2.5 m. Consider the usual walking direction when choosing the position, then check the final settings with a walk-through after installation.
Bluetooth Mesh and the STEINEL Connect app provide access to settings and let compatible luminaires form lighting groups. Adjustable main lighting, basic lighting and switching settings help you match operation to the way the entrance or courtyard is used. Brightness is controlled through the system settings; the luminaire is not intended for an external wall dimmer.
For a permanent wall installation
The IP44-rated luminaire can be wall-mounted indoors or outdoors. It requires a 220–240 V mains connection with protective earth. Bluetooth communication does not replace the power cable. The integrated LED source is non-replaceable and uses no separate bulb. Have a qualified professional complete the electrical connection according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
