A low-profile light for coordinated garden paths
STEINEL GL 85 C 600 is a 60 cm LED bollard for paths, terraces and planted outdoor spaces. Its anthracite aluminium body introduces a clear geometric line within the garden. The compact height keeps the lighting close to the landscaping. Several matching bollards can create a consistent visual rhythm along the route to a house or around a courtyard.
The integrated LED system produces 719 lm at 9 W with a 3000 K warm-white colour. This suits residential settings where functional path lighting also contributes to the evening atmosphere. The opal cover forms an evenly illuminated surface.
Connected control without a local motion detector
This C version has no built-in motion sensor. Choose it where detection is not required at every bollard, or as an additional luminaire in a compatible sensor-controlled installation. It does not detect an approaching person by itself: motion-based operation requires a compatible sensor product within the connected system. This is the key distinction to consider when choosing between the C and SC versions.
Use the STEINEL Connect app to adjust settings and Bluetooth Mesh to connect compatible devices. Main-light brightness is adjustable from 10 to 100 percent. Further lighting functions become available when it operates with a compatible sensor product. For a multi-light layout, plan the sensing point around the main entrance to the path and position the remaining bollards to suit its shape and surroundings.
Ready for a permanent mains installation
The IP44-rated housing is intended for outdoor installation on a stable base. A 220–240 V mains supply and protective earth are required. Bluetooth carries control signals, so a power cable is still necessary. The LED source is integrated and cannot be replaced as a separate bulb. Electrical connection should be completed by a qualified professional following the installation instructions.
