A defined lighting element for paths and courtyards
STEINEL GL 85 C 900 is a 90 cm LED garden bollard with an anthracite aluminium body and a clean geometric outline. Its taller proportions suit an entrance path, a terrace edge or a courtyard where the lighting is a visible landscape feature. When planning several bollards, use the shape of the route, its turning points and the surrounding planting to establish a balanced arrangement.
The integrated LED source delivers 719 lm from 9 W with a 3000 K warm-white colour. It is a suitable tone for the surroundings of a home and for creating an inviting evening atmosphere near outdoor seating. The opal cover forms an evenly lit surface. Matching GL 85 luminaires help maintain a consistent design across different parts of the garden.
Connected lighting without its own motion sensor
GL 85 C 900 has no built-in motion detector. It is intended for locations where sensing is not needed at every light, including additional points in a compatible sensor-controlled layout. For automatic response to approaching people, it needs a compatible sensor product in the connected system. Choose the SC version if you need a detector built into this particular bollard.
Bluetooth Mesh and the STEINEL Connect app allow compatible products to be connected and their settings adjusted. Main-light brightness is adjustable from 10 to 100 percent, with additional functions possible alongside a compatible sensor product. This supports a practical layout where sensing is concentrated at entrances while other luminaires follow the path.
A fixed outdoor installation
The IP44-rated luminaire needs a stable mounting base and a 220–240 V mains connection with protective earth. Bluetooth communication carries control signals and does not remove the need for a power cable. The LED source is integrated and non-replaceable. Have a qualified professional complete the electrical connection according to the manufacturer’s installation instructions.
